    Training is based in Edinburgh, but the location is up to you. I have 14 yrs experience in the photographic industry and used to train for Canon.
    We will be using your camera and talking about what you want to photograph.

     Starter Training   2hrs - £80
                   I will work to your level, but give you an understanding of:
    • Aperture / Shutterspeed / ISO - and how they affect exposure.
    • White balance, Composition
    • Using your camera's controls to get the results you want.
    • Get a handout of useful info, plus projects to push your understanding.

     Intermediate Training  2hrs - £80
    • Aperture/Shutterspeed/ISO refresher.
    • Exposure compensation, White Balance, Metering, Selecting Focus Modes.
    • Using Tv, Av, Manual modes
    • Shooting in RAW
    • Get a handout of useful info, plus projects to push your understanding.

     Photoshop Training   4hrs - £140
    • Processing RAW files in Adobe Camera RAW, or Lightroom and then editing in Photoshop.
    • Basic Photoshop adjustments - Levels, Curves, Black and White, Cropping, Selections
    • Resizing images and resolution.
    • Working with layers, masks and adjustment layers.
    • Cleaning up photos - cloning, spot removal, healing brush.
    • Giving your photos a professional look using blend modes and tones.
    • Sharpening photos.

     Studio Photography & Lighting all-day course      10am-5pm £195

    This is an exciting new course I am running where you will actually get to shoot a professional model, using skills and tips from a morning spent learning some key photographic techniques to help you in the studio.

    You will learn:
    • Studio basics - safety and best working practise.
    • Camera controls for the studio.
    • Working with Bowens studio lighting and beauty dish, softbox, brollies and snoots.
    • Lighting basics - portraiture and fashion
    • Working with a professional model, giving directions, pushing for the best shot.

    You will get to keep all your images and use them for your portfolio.
    Bring your DSLR, fully charged batteries and storage cards.
    Maximum 5 people on the course at one time.
